I am originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my friends and family. I also consider myself a devoted podcast listener and foodie. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. Additionally, I hold a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Mercer University - Cecil B. Day Campus, Atlanta, GA. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Mental Health Program at Arkansas State University.
Mental health has been my passion since 2011 and I love that I get to help others manifest the life that they have always dreamed of. I am passionate about helping those who struggle with relational trauma. We are relational creatures who desire connection.
I have almost 10 years of counseling experience serving children, adolescents, adults, and family populations with co-occurring disorders in all levels of care (outpatient, community-based programs, partial hospitalization, inpatient psychiatric units, medical detox, and substance abuse residential programs).
I use different theory modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Therapy. I am passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples with their challenges of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, major life adjustments, and sexual trauma.
